Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) today hosted an inter-university tournament of intellectual games that featured the teams from seven institutions of higher education –

ASPU, Yerevan State Linguistic University (YSLU), State Engineering University of Armenia (SEUA), Yerevan State Institute of Theater and Cinema (YSITC), St. Petersburg Institute of International Economic Relations, Economics and Law (IIEREL) – IVESEP, Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University (RAU) and Erebuni Medical University.
The competition held in two stages and in the Russian language focused on the Russian classical literature. In the result of intense struggle, the RAU team took the first place. ASPU and YSITC teams came 2nd and 3rd respectively.
At the end of the tournament, the winning teams were awarded with certificates and Russian-language books.
Lilt Vahanyan, Chair of the Intellectual Commission of the ASPU Student Council, said that intellectual games help increase the level of students' knowledge and skills, shape flexible thinking and strengthen fighting spirit among students.
