Alluring tango rhythms fill Pedagogical University

In the framework of the “International Tango Festival” to be held in Yerevan in the near future, Kadans ensemble today gave a pre-festival concert at the hall of the ASPU Faculty of

 Culture.
 
In his welcoming speech accordionist Boris Yeganyan, a graduate of the University, said it was a great honour for him to perform in the University many years later.
 
The musician, who graduated from the ASPU Faculty of Culture 25 years ago, today seized the opportunity to thank the University lecturers again as the first and last teachers who led him to the world of music. 
 
 The ensemble also included pianist Sofi Mikaelyan, RA Honored Artist, guitarist Hakob Jaghatspanyan, contrabass player Gurgen Amiryan, Holder of Movses Khorenatsi Order, violinist Varazdat Kachumyan. They have all performed as soloists many times. 
 

The attendees had a chance to enjoy the recent works by Tango Masters Astor Piazzolla and Richard Galliano, as well as the famous works by Armenian authors. 
 
Director of the ASPU Cultural Center Arkadi Shekunts thanked the musicians on behalf of the presentees, saying it was a great honour for them to host the ensemble in the University. 
 
"The concert wakened numerous emotions, dreams and happiness. It whetted an insatiable desire among the attendees to utter words of love. Tango has been, is and will remain the "language of love confession,” he said.
