Recently, the lecturers of the Pedagogical University visited the military units of the Defense Army of the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh- Askeran, Ivanyan (Khojalou), Balouja,
Srkhavend, Zabrail.
Within the framework of the project “Pages of History and Culture” of the Public Council at the Minister of Defense, the Associate Professor of the Department of Professional Education and Applied Pedagogy, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences Mr. Hakob Tadevosyan, lecturer, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences Mr. Volodya Gasparyan, Associate Professors of the Department of History of Armenia Mr. Avetis Haroutyunyan and Mr. Khachatur Stepanyan spoke about the old and medieval Armenian military forces, the Haiduk movement, the cultural heritage of Jugha, the cross stones, the military service in their lectures.
In addition, parallel to the lectures, a video material was also prepared and presented describing the Armenian heritage of Jugha, which was followed by question and answers.
And besides, the pedagogues’ visit to the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh coincided with the Easter holiday; thus, together with the military servants, the visitors participated in the liturgy served at Askeran and Shoushi Saint Mary/ St. Astvatsatsin churches and at the Gandzasar monastery, and then celebrated Jesus Christ’s magnificent resurrection.
“This kind of visits of the Pedagogical University professors, their lectures delivered at the military units have already become traditional. Getting familiar with the national culture, history and heritage, the military servants are being encouraged, strongly realize the high and responsible status of the defender of the motherland, as well as the meaning of patriotic education,” Mr. Hakob Tadevosyan mentioned in his interview to the armspu.am .
