The Brass band of the Department of Music of the Pedagogical University, prior to the participation in the fifth international competition –festival “Renaissance” to be held in

Gyumry, presented a concert programme at the native University.
The brass band, together with their conductor Kolya Martirosyan, presented Johannes Brahms’ “Hungary dance”, Giuseppe Verdi’s “Triumphal March”, Alexander Spendarian’s “Angeli” Dmitriy Braslavski’s “the Joyful Band” as well as an extract from Aram Khachatryan’s “Carnival” musical compositions.
A wonderful surprise was prepared for the audience: for the first time the musical pieces “the Eastern Dance”, “the Erzrum Amble”, “the Alashkert Dance” were performed with the combination of the brass band and the folk instruments.
The conductor of the brass band Kolya Minasyan is proud to see that the band that has been operating since 1973 and participated in numerous international festivals, has received a new breath today.

“Every year the band changes its generation; thus, the music programme also updates. We have great expectations from the upcoming competition; the path we covered and the forty-year opulent activities only promise us a victory.”
By the end of the concert, the Head of the Department of Music, the RA Honoured worker Ara Gevorgyan traditionally granted presents and diplomas to Naira Manoukyan and Manana Khanaryan - Excellent students with exemplary behavior.
And last but not least, the audience, with their loud applauds, and the University Chancellor Rouben Mirzakhanyan, with his individual handshaking, wished the participants of the festival good luck and success.
