First-year Master's degree students of the Faculty of Special Education, Department of Logopaedics, recently participated in a seminar held at the Montessori City Child Development

The seminar was conducted by Anna Khachatryan, Deputy Director of the Centre, a member of the Association Montessori Internationale and an educator.
Maria Montessori (1870-1952) is best known for her innovative educational method which has been applied for at least 100 years for the full development of children, including those who are in need of special educational conditions. Her educational method is in use today in public and private schools throughout the world.
Anna Khachatryan presented the history and essence of the aforesaid method, as well as the specifications of the Montessori materials.
The seminar was held at the initiative of the Chair of Logopaedics and Rehabilitation Therapy and with the support Gayane Alaxenyan, Director of the Montessori City Child Development Centre.
Participating in the seminar were also Janna Paylozyan, Head of the Chair of Logopaedics and Rehabilitation Therapy, Candidate of Pedagogical Science, and Mary Shaboyan, a lecturer of the same Chair.
