At the initiative of Alvard Kirakosyan, Associate Professor at the Chair of Biology and its Teaching Methods, the lecturers and students of the Faculty, as well as students of the Natural Sciences stream of the ASPU College got acquainted [through the example of cell division] with the peculiarities of modern technologies application during the lesson of Biology.
With the help of special videos, spreadsheet analysis and puzzle games the lecturer made the subject more interesting and effective.

Dean of the Faculty Svetlana Hovakimyan welcomed Alvard Kirakosyan’s initiative, stressing the importance of information technologies in the teaching process. She called on the attendees to apply in their daily work the modern models presented at the lesson, making their work more effective and interesting.
While preparing for the seminar, Alvard Kirakosyan was assisted by Mamikon Hakobyan, Associate Professor at the Chair of Informatics and its Teaching Methods. The latter believes that a lecturer should not only be computer literate, but should also master its numerous programs to keep abreast of the latest developments in the educational sphere.
The seminar was also attended by Tigran Tangamyan, Head of the Chair of Biology and its Teaching Methods. The latter emphasized the importance of cooperation between the Chairs, adding that the students’ interest and abundance of questions testified that the aforesaid model of the lesson was preferable and long-awaited.
