KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

Today, the Pedagogical University students and the teaching-professorial team paid a visit to the Genocide memorial. The Abovianians laid a wreath at the Memorial of the Armenian

 Genocide, paid a tribute and kept a minute of silence to honour the memory of one and a half million innocent victims.  

The pedagogues appealed for the recognition of the Armenian Genocide and Justice carrying posters with the following content, “NO to Turkish Denial”, “The new generation overtakes the Armenian trial”, “NO to the Cultural Genocide”, “April is also the month for renaissance”, the “International Community has Moral Commitment”, “History’s Eternal Stigma to the Young Turks”, “Uncondemned Genocide gives birth to the new ones”, “Commitment is moral”, “Genocide is the Crime of the Century”, etc..     

Every year, on 24 April, hundreds of thousands of people from Armenia and the Diaspora, as well as a great number of foreign citizens visit the “Tsitsernakaberd” Genocide memorial and mourn the memory of 1.5 million Armenian massacred in the Ottoman Turkey from 1915-1923.
