ASPU Delegates Pay a Working Visit Oulu University

Recently, a delegation of Armenian State Pedagogical University visited Oulu University in Finland.  The delegation included Ara Yeremyan, Vice Rector for Personnel and International

 Cooperation, Samvel Khudoyan, Head of the Chair of Development and Applied Psychology, and Marianna Harutyunyan, a lecturer of the  Chair of Logopaedics and Rehabilitation Therapy. The group was in Finland on a working visit. 
 
The working group participated in a series of discussions and visited different units of the University.
 
ASPU delegates got acquainted with the management of the Finnish university, its activities, operations, internal policies and strategy.
 

The representatives of Oulu University also familiarised their Armenian colleagues with the peculiarities of thesis supervision, curricula, graduate papers, and degree qualification. Reference was also made to the research activities underway in the University faculties, as well as Career and Student Support Centre. 
 
During the visit, Associate Professor of Psychology Samvel Khudoyan visited the University’s Department of Psychology. Later, he discussed the peculiarities and approaches of psychotherapy with the psychotherapists of the University. 
 
Special educator Marianna Harutyunyan visited the Department of Medicine at Oulu University of Applied Sciences, and then discussed with ergotherapists of the University of Lapland the application of field peculiarities in practice.
 
During the meeting, the sides discussed the curricula drafted by the ASPU working group, course plans and descriptions, as well as the changes to be introduced in them; they also reached an agreement on arranging the next visit and a joint three-day conference.
