Although you are condemned to death by your neighbours, Armenian nation, you may still avoid the sentence in numerous ways. And one of the ways to escape death is to show to
all Armenians this new work that I have undertaken headed “Remember the War”,” this is how the prominent Armenian figure Garegin Nzhdeh describes his next collection of articles.
A few days ago, the book summarizing the above mentioned articles edited by the lecturer of the Department of History of Armenia of the Pedagogical University, Candidate of Historical Sciences Mr. Khachatur Stepanyan.
The revelation and completion of Nzhdeh’s intellectual heritage continues. The brightest proof of this is the publication of the collection of articles in May and June issues of the newspaper “Homeland” in Boston in 1930, which was headed “Remember the War”.
“Just like other works of Nzhdeh, this one also stands out for its modernity. With his own manner of writing and educating, the author referred to the internal and external dangers and problems threatening the Armenian nation, and described the ways and methods to solve them”, Khachatur Stepanyan mentioned.
Moreover, the latter added that even though a lot had been said about the rich intellectual heritage of Garegin Nzhdeh, the collection of articles “Remember the War” was left out of the Nzhdeh’s works published until today; only some part of the articles was included into other works of Nzhdeh published after 1930, particularly, in his book “the Generation Spirit Movement” in particular.
“It is not the quantity of nations that is important, but their quality and their spirit.” Mr. Khachatur Stepanyan is sure that this message of Nzhdeh included in the collection, the wise and fundamental solutions will stimulate the growth of patriotic spirit of the youth, including the future soldiers and the army officers.
Last but not least, this publication of the book already finished and the second publication is planned for 19 May.
