An exclusive exhibition initiated by the ASPU Library has opened at the Humanitarian Literature hall on the occasion of the May triple holiday. A collection of paintings and books

portraying the May celebrations was put on display at the hall.
More than 80 books telling about the battles of Avarair, Sardarapat, Aparan and Shushi, the victory of the Soviet troops over Nazi Germany, as well as national heroes Dro (Drastamat Kanayan), Sedrak Jalalian, Sebastatsi Murad and Garegin Nzhdeh were showcased at the exhibition entitled “May Victories.”
Among the books one can find exclusive pieces dedicated to the Artsakh liberation movement. Those include "Karabakh Liberation War- 1988-1994," an encyclopedia on the Karabakh war, “Chronicle of Armenian Army's 20 years” by Armenia’s Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan, and many other books dedicated to the Artsakh liberation.

Also, an exhibition of photos was opened at the library hall. Here one can find the photos of fallen heroes, generals, as well as the photos of highest state and military titles and ranks in Artsakh and Armenia. Side by side with them, you will see the photos of about 160 graduates of the Pedagogical University who have participated in different liberation battles.
Students attending the exhibition are particularly interested in the admission questionnaires filled in by national heroes Moses Gorgisyan, Karen Harutyunyan, Artsakh hero Mekhak Mekhakyan, who were graduates of the Pedagogical University.
“When students look at the photos, they are filled with patriotism and pride for studying at the university named after great Armenian writer and pedagogue Khachatur Abovyan, where a number of national heroes were educated,” Tigran Petrosyants, the director of the ASPU Library, said in conversation with armspu.am. He added that the university administration is doing everything possible to boost up the patriotic spirit of its students and present them the victorious history of their country.
In conclusion, Tigran Petrosyants said the exhibition will run till the end of May.
