The Pedagogical University sophomore of the Faculty of History and Law Gurgen Karapetyan won the first prize in the 96 kg weight category with his 250 kg results at the championship arranged by the Armenian Federation of Powerlifting.
The future historian mentioned in his interview to the armspu.am that this was his first participation in such large-scale competitions and his number one victory in sport. “I am proud for the victory it is very obliging and will encourage me to continue doing sports in future and to achieve bugger success.”
Let us mention that several dozens of sportsmen participated in the championship in different weight categories arranged by the Armenian Federation of Powerlifting.
