Environmental Issues Discussed
08.05.2013
The Student Council of the Pedagogical University is always undertaking a variety of educational, scientific, cultural initiatives. On this occasion, the SC Environmental Committee

focused their attention on environmental issues, the fauna and flora.

During the event, the students made a video presentation about a number of species of animals at the edge of extermination due to human activities, including the characteristic features of whales, dolphins, panthers, their role and importance in the nature.

The student of the Faculty of Biology, Chemistry and Geography, the President of the Environmental Committee Mr. Vahe Amiryan is sure that such events will urge those present to review their approaches towards the nature and its protection, to acknowledge the nature and the environment they live in.

“Every day each of us gives a damage to the environment we live in with our activities, and very often we do it unconsciously. In the recent years environmental issues have registered an increase, the environmental protectors make records and inform about the manmade risks of the nature.”

The future geographer urges his contemporaries to be informed and to protect to the extent possible the environment and the nature surrounding them all.

The student of the philological faculty, Tatev Vardanyan notices with regret that an animal is hunting another animal to meet the need for food, while the rational human beings do it for pleasure.
The students’ knowledge about the environmental protection was summarized by the film “A challenge for life” by the British BBC.
