The 94 year old Tsolak Simonyan, with 60 years of pedagogical experience, spent 40 years of his life at the Pedagogical University. During the Great Patriotic war he went to the front,

two years later he got injured and returned to motherland. Although the honoured pedagogue avoids speaking about the war, he still emphasizes the importance of victory and the value of piece.
Today, Tsolak Simonyan, together with other previous employees of the University, veterans of the Patriotic war Ms. Roza Pashinyan, Mr. Davit Saribekyan, Mr. Levon Kojoyan and Mr. Movses Stepanyan again were at the Pedagogical. Congratulating on the May holidays, the University Chancellor Mr. Rouben Mirzakhanyan granted them acknowledgement letters and 100 000AMD each.
Highlighting the significance of courageous and heroic posture of the veterans at the most critical moments of the life of the Armenian nation, the Chancellor mentioned, “The path you took is an open lesson of patriotism that keeps our living memory awake; it is with the examples of those manifestations that our students get educated, and take up the mission to bring up tomorrow’s generation”.
Pointing out the numerous difficulties the veterans had to overcome on their way, the Chancellor also expressed gratefulness in the name of his contemporaries whishing them health, welfare and a worthy life that the victorious man deserves.
