“The strongest wins and the strongest are always intellectual”, with this belief the Pedagogical University Basic (high-school) College held an intellectual contest-game
“”Geography of Psychology”.
The 12th year students of the psychology stream participated at the contest-game; the three participating teams “Relax”, “Reflex”, “Realist” had to answer the questions prepared by younger students of the same stream.
In order to check the participants’ intellect and knowledge the psychological crosswords method was selected; the world and the RA maps were pictured on two figures, each concept mentioned during the contest characterized the psychological features of the corresponding continent or region.
In the process of the whole game the students demonstrated high intellectual level answering the questions in the sphere of psychology and geography mentioned on the figure-crosswords.
After summarizing the results it became clear that the team “Reflex” became the winner of the two-stage intellectual game-contest with the maximum scores.
The team-leader MS. Marine Dilackyan is glad that the chosen motto “Always the first” served its aim in the contest; the game gave them trust and confidence that the years spent at the college were not in vain.
As for the “Relax” team –leader Ms. Mariam Arakelyan, who chose the motto “We came to win”, she is not upset to surrender to the winning team with only one score, nevertheless, it was possible to present their knowledge in a new format.
In her turn, the psychology teacher of the Basic (high-school) college, the author of the initiative Ms. Mariam Mehrabyan is pleased with the results of the contest; moreover, she is sure that the interactive method applied is an effective way to exchange the acquired knowledge which will stimulate the students more dynamic communication and exchange of knowledge.
