Today, within the framework of the event the “Night of Museums”, the 3D Museum of the Pedagogical University hosted a diversity of cultural events.

From the early morning, pupils, students and culture loving society were “welcomed” by the Great Enlightener Khachatur Abovyan with his three-dimensional virtual message.
The guests were greeted by the Director of the museum Ms. Alvard Grigoryan, who introduced the programme of the “Night of Museums”. The latter also informed that although they were participating in the events arranged within the framework of the international museums day, she was happy to see the non-stop flow of the visitors to the museums since early morning.
The museum staff makes an effort to introduce visitors of different ages with the University achievements and the rich scientific-educational material of the museum, as well as to involve them into a variety of events.
The Director of the Museum was happy to mention about the replenishment of their collection; a few days ago the professor of sculpture Misak Melkonyan gifted the busts of prominent linguists Hrachya Acharyan, Manouk Abeghyan, and the RA National Hero Movses Grigoryan to the museum.

The festive events were launched with the presentation of the book “Scientific Works Bibliography of the ASPU after Khachatur Abovyan (1940-1990)”.
The Head of the Department of Library Science and Bibliography, the editor of the book Mr. Gagik Sukiassyan spoke about the important cognitive and scientific informative meaning, mentioned that the work was unique not only in its nature and type as an exclusive sample of a historical retrospective bibliography, also from the chronological point of view, including around 1908 items published at the ASPU during 50 years (1940-1950); “Books have the principle of objective classification and give a clear understanding of the organization of scientific –educational activities and development of the University in the mentioned time scale of the previous century.”
The previous Head of the Department of Bibliography Ms. Julietta Simonyan together with Narine Danielyan are the book editors. She confesses that this is one of the happiest days for her; the result of her hard work of fifteen years is now lying on the table. “There is no short and easy way in science; the one, who is able to walk that stony and challenging road, reaches the results. Be attached to books; science is a powerful hand in one’s life that accompanies during life”.
Further on, the presentation of the book was followed by the ensemble of kanon players of the second year of the Department of Musical Instruments, the Faculty of Art Education accompanied by Narek Grigoryan; they performed Khachatur Avetisyan’s musical pieces.
The series of events were concluded by the performance of the “Masounk(relic)” folk song and dance ensemble.

In addition, a great surprise was prepared for the museum visitors; the guests were taught to dance folk dances by the “Masounk” folk song and dance ensemble for around one and a half hour.
We would like to remind that the University museum equipped with the modern technologies was opened in November 2012. The three-dimensional museum is a novelty; in fact, there has been a similar experience in Armenia, but in this case the museum also produces sound effects. There have been about 12 000 visitors to the museum until today including pupils from different schools, students of other universities, eminent public-political figures.
By the way, this year, the event “Night of Museums” has the motto “Museums - as a Non-formal –Educational Environment”. This undertaking gives an opportunity to the public to participate in museum events free of charge and to newly discover the cultural values kept there.
