Several days ago, the Second Congress of the Association of Chancellors of Pedagogical Universities of Europe was held in Frankfurt, Germany; among the participants of the

congress were the Chancellor of the Armenian State Pedagogical University after Khachatur Abovyan Mr. Rouben Mirzakhanyan and the Head of the Education and Methodology Department, Vice Chancellor Mher Melik –Bakhshyan.
Representatives from the pedagogical universities from ten countries such as Ukraine, Russia, Germany, Lithuania, Macedonia, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary Moldova and Armenia, as well as more than sixty representatives from state institutions participated in the congress held at the University after Goethe.
The European Pedagogical Constitution was among the issues on the agenda of the congress; the adoption of the document was approved by the signature of the members of the Association of Chancellors.
The Chancellor of the National Pedagogical University after Dragomanov in Ukraine, the Chairman of the Association of Chancellors of the European Pedagogical University Victor Andrewschenko mentioned in his welcome speech, “This congress united the members of the association over the most important idea which is to develop spiritual, cultural and educational fields by cooperating with the European states; the role of teachers in particular is quite vital in this task.”
In addition, the Chairman of the Association assured that the adoption of the European pedagogical constitution would be a turning point; it would formulate new rules of life for the whole civilized world contributing to the innovative upbringing of the European generations.
Moreover, during the congress the Chancellor of the Pedagogical University, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Rouben Mirzakhanyan also made a welcome speech emphasizing that the adoption of the Pedagogical constitution was a significant step in the task of education integration.
Besides, the Chancellor also expressed great will for the Association of Chancellors of the European Universities also be included into the Bologna processes.
And last but not least, at the end of his speech Mr. Rouben Mirzakhanyan suggested to the members of the Association to hold the next congress in Armenia.
