KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

In many countries the first day of summer celebrates the International Day for Protection of Children. This year too, the Pedagogical University congratulated children with a variety

 of festive events. 

 

The third year students of Directing Mass Events of the Faculty of Culture, headed by the course leader Samvel Mikaelyan, and the Student Council, paid a visit to the Yerevan special school number 11 of the RA Ministry of ES.

 

 The performance based on Toumanyan’s fairy tales “Panos the Clumsy, Lazy Huri and others passed a cheerful holiday spirit to the school children; in their turn, they did not stay astride from the children’s joyous songs and dances. 

 

The actress playing the Mother of Huri, student Anahit Darbinyan confesses that her excitement was enormous, but still they had even greater desire to give the children happiness and organize an unforgettable day for them. 

 

Moreover, the future director has the same wish as everybody else, healthy, joyous and careless childhood for all the children of the world.  

 

Moreover, the Director of the Yerevan special school number 11 Mr. Khachik Muradyan expressed acknowledgements to the abovianians for demonstrating goodwill and giving the children smiles adding that such visits to the school are not of frequent nature but they are always very much welcomed. 

 

We would like to remind that the International Day for Protection of Children is one of the oldest holidays. It was fixed during the world conference for protection of children in Genève in 1925. The June 1 has been celebrated in Armenia since the soviet times.
