IT Specialist Introduces Linux Operating System to ASPU Audience

A seminar entitled “Linux Operating System and its Applications” was held at the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics, Armenian State Pedagogical University.

Participating in the event were the students of the Department of Informatics and guests. 
 
 
Hayk Abelyan, Head of the Programming Department of the Information Center of the Armenian Police, delivered a report during the event.
 
During the three-hour seminar, Abelyan introduced the basic operating system principles from a Linux perspective, their application in practice and the advantages of Linux system over other operating systems.
 
This was followed by a heated discussion, with the students asking the specialists various questions. Then they passed to a practical course which enabled the future programmers to apply in practice the knowledge they had acquired during the seminar. 
 
At the end of the seminar, Hayk Abelyan said the seminars would be continuous and promised to hold the next meeting at the Information Division of the Police. 
 
The organizer of the seminar, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, Vahagn Kharatyan, thanked the IT specialist, emphasizing the importance and frequency of similar seminars.
