“Postgraduate Education is on a New Level at the Pedagogical”
18.06.2013
“Today,  postgraduate education is on a new level at the Pedagogical; the required amendments implemented at the new postgraduate courses foster avoiding unnecessary

repetitions and give an opportunity to deepen the knowledge received at the undergraduate courses,” the ASPU Dean of the Faculty of History and Law Mr. Edick Gevorgyan mentioned during the consultancy meeting with students.

During the meeting to promote the formulation of professional prospects through postgraduate education, the Dean of Faculty together with the Heads of Departments spoke about the role, meaning and importance of the postgraduate education.

In their turn, they assured that in order to best organize the postgraduate education at the Faculty, the leading professionals of the field had been invited, and the current conditions would help the future postgraduates to receive comprehensive education; “In the whole process of education the primary position will be given to practical and scientific –research activities, thus preparing the students for the third academic level. The Faculty encourages the postgraduate students’ desire to combine education and employment, and this will surely be taken into consideration when arranging the courses,” Edick Gevorgyaan added.

In addition, the Dean of the Faculty also highlighted that everything is done to properly solve the students’ employment issues; in the regular competitions for vacant positions available at the University the preference is given to the graduates of the Pedagogical, and particularly to the postgraduates; “The educational establishment continues cooperation with both different institutions in the country and various leading foreign universities; internships realized in these institutions give an opportunity for a close collaboration with the employers. A group of students, having received the Bachelor’s degree qualification at the country’s single “legal education”, “legal edification in penitentiary institutions and special schools” have already received offers to work at the NSS.”

At the end of the meeting the Dean of the Faculty of History and Law Mr. Edick Gevorgyan expressed hope to see students with the desire and aspiration to study and to struggle for the title of Master’s Degree.

We would also like to remind that the Faculties of the Pedagogical University together with the Departments providing postgraduate courses are holding consultancy meetings from 11- 18 June which introduce the peculiarities of postgraduate education and other issues about ensuring the continuity of students’ education, professional development and prospects.
