Diploma Awarding Ceremony Held in Faculties of Culture and Foreign Languages

A festive mood prevailed on Monday at the Faculty of Culture, Armenian State Pedagogical University after Khachatur Abovyan. A total of 352 students studying in the full-time (284)

 and distance-learning (68) systems and completing  bachelor's and a master's degree courses received diplomas of higher education that announced the entry of a new generation of pedagogues to different areas  of culture.
 
Dean of the Faculty Gevorg Tadevosyan, Heads of Chairs and Chairmen of the Final Examination Committees delivered congratulatory speeches, wishing the graduates professional achievements and fruitful activity. 
 
Participating in the diploma awarding ceremony was also ASPU Rector Rouben Mirzakhanyan who congratulated the graduates and conveyed his best wishes to the new generation of choreographers, musicologists, film directors, journalists, operators, museologists and librarians. 
 
“Over the years, the Faculty of Culture has been renovated and equipped with professional items in order to meet the educational needs of our students and make their classes and the time spent at the University more interesting and attractive,” the rector said adding that he would like the graduates to work by their profession. 
 

Dean of the Faculty Gevorg Tadevosyan, Honoured Art Worker of the Republic of Armenia, urged Bachelor’s degree students to pursue graduate studies. He also called on Master's degree graduates to keep contact with the Faculty. “The Faculty maintains its old and good traditions and history; people do not depart from us,” the dean said. Armen Amiryan, Head of the Chair of TV and Radio Journalism, also congratulated the graduates, addressing them as his full-fledged partners. 
 
A touching farewell ceremony was also held at the Faculty of Foreign Languages which had 258 graduates, 67 of whom received Diplomas with Honour. 
 
Dean of the Faculty Tigran Mikaelyan congratulated the graduates saying the day was symbolic for him as he was farewelling the first generation of students during his tenure of office. The dean first of all wished family happiness to the girls of the course, expressing his hope that they would apply the knowledge and skills they had acquired at the University in their own families. 
 
Speaking about their professional success, Tigran Mikaelyan said he was hopeful that in the person of this year’s graduates the industry will be replenished by a new generation of specialists who meet present-day demands. “One needs to receive higher education to be able to understand the principles of thinking and living and impose the course of actions to the society,” the dean said and added, “Specialization allows working in different spheres but I ask you to stay faithful to your profession and stand close to school and pedagogy.”
