Nature is the Greatest Teacher for Artists
15.07.2013
From 6 June, the start of the plenary internship for around 200 students of the Faculty of  Biology, Chemistry and Geography, Departments of Painting and Drawings, History and

Theory of Drawing was announced at the educational unit of the Pedagogical University in Aghavnadzor.

According to the schedule developed by the Internship Department, the students, accompanied by the internship supervisors had an opportunity to create and get practically skilled in their profession in Aghavnadzor and other picturesque locations in nature.

Not only internship, but also the best summer holidays for the students- This is what the Pedagogical University encourages its students to do.

More to the point, the healthy food during the students’ internship is supplied by the University’s “Food Department”. As the Head of the Department Mr. Grigor Hovsepyan assures the daily meals are rich with healthy food products including dishes with meat, dairy products, fruits and vegetables, dessert, fresh and natural juices.

“As much as they want, whenever they want and sometimes even whatever they  want,” Grigor Hovsepyan mentions during his interview to the armspu.am assuring that  sometimes the menu is formed in compliance with the students’ wish, and the meal on  the last day of the internship becomes a real feast accompanied by a roundelay near  the fire.

The Deputy Head of the Security Service of the University Mr. Gegham Mkhitaryan  together with three other employees of the service ensures the students’ security.

The Deputy Head of Service states that the students are familiar with the service  requirements and demonstrate high level of discipline.

“Fishing, sometimes even hiking in the nearby woods, are by all means accompanied  by the security members,” Mr. Gegham Mkhitaryan mentions and adds, they must feel
themselves at home, be  safe and secure.

The lecturer of the Department of Painting Mr. Sevada Sargsyan is one of the internship  supervisors accompanying students. “The Nature is the greatest teacher for artists; it  contributes to the students’ independence including proposing challenges and making the observatory choice,”  the lecturer mentions and notices that students are highly  motivated by creating together with their lecturers in nature, which seems like the best  example of a practical work.

Moreover, Mr. Sevada Sargsyan added that on the last day of the internship an examination is planned to evaluate the students’ work according to their creations.

“Professional progress and unforgettable holidays – in one word, excellent conditions,”  says the third year student of the department of Painting and Drawing Arsen Galstyan,
for whom it is rather uneasy to describe the time they spent.

In addition, the student of the same department Ani Margaryan had a talk with the  armspu.am on the bank of the Marmarik River; the student was drawing there. She remembers the previous years’ practice with a smile on her face and gladly mentions  that feeling the spirit of the Nature is the most important thing for an artist.

To conclude, in near future, the photos of the internship in Aghavnadzor will be posted  on the armspu.am’s website.
