Today, the Pedagogical University announced the beginning of the academic year 2013/14 for 1543 BA and 834 first year MA students proclaiming the start of their professional
achievements.
For each student who chose the profession of a pedagogue the day was more than symbolic- they were welcomed by the University’s Vice Chancellor, the teaching professorial team and their senior fellow-students.
Accompanied by the University hymn, congratulations and best wishes, the students stepped into the renovated, technically equipped University with reorganized teaching-professorial team.
The Academic Vice Chancellor Ms. Srbouhi Gevorgyan congratulated the future pedagogues for linking their professional “destiny” with the Pedagogical University in particular underlining that the expressions of a person’s general self-development, professional establishment and individual growth is conditioned by this particular profession.
The Dean of the Faculty of Primary Education Ms. Heghinei Khachatryan joined the best wishes made on this occasion and happily added that this year male students too expressed interest in the given profession.
Whishing a creative and rich educational year, the Dean called for the future pedagogues to love and to stay true to the title of the pedagogue reminding them that “Children and the Gods live where they are loved”.
“The name of the teacher stands for kindness and generosity. Throughout ages teachers symbolized love and reverence, they were trusted and believed in,” this is how the Head of the Department of Native Language and its Teaching Methods after Ashot Ter-Grigoryan Mr.Ashot Galstyan welcomed the freshmen calling for them to gain every single piece of knowledge received during the studies and to pass it to pupils”.
And last but not least, festive events on the Knowledge day were organized in all Faculties of the University.
