After the solemn opening of the international conference “The Importance of Language, Education, and Family in the Process of Repatriation” at Armenian State Pedagogical

University after Khachatur Abovyan, the participants from Russia, Germany, Poland, Bulgaria and Armenia delivered reports.
The attendees discussed repatriation issues of Armenian migrants living in a number of countries, specifically in Bulgaria, Poland and Germany, their reintegration process and social assistance for returnees.
The foreign guests and ASPU representatives also dwelt on the activity and significance of the European Return Fund (RF), the current state and prospects of the project RECEA (Reintegration Centre Armenia), the methodological problems encountered by repatriated children in the process of mastering Armenian, the role of the Armenian Diaspora in reintegration activities and allocation of incipient business grants for the successful reintegration of repatriates.
Professor Melanya Astvatsatryan, Coordinator of the RECEA project, Head of the Chair of Foreign Language Teaching Methods, ASPU, Doctor of Pedagogy, highlighted the importance of the conference. “The reports we heard today contained important information and statistical data. The questions and issues raised by the representative of the UN Office on the status and rights of migrants were of special interest. A declaration will be made based on the ideas proposed at the end of the conference, which will be in the spotlight of the European Union, thereby contributing to the sustainable return of migrants and their reintegration,” she said.
The conference will continue its activities on Thursday, September 5.
