Ukrainian Students in Armenia

From 19- 29 August, Armenia welcomed ten students from the National Pedagogical Dragomanov University of Ukraine within the framework of the “Summer School” students exchange

 programme.
 
The ASPU Student Council and the Armenian Youth Foundation greatly contributed to the ten days of internship of the Ukrainian students in Armenia, but also arranged a full rest for the guests before starting the new academic year.
 
During the ten days of stay in Armenia the Ukrainian guests visited a vast number of historical-cultural places where they got acquainted with the ages old cultural heritage of Armenians. 
 
 The Aghavandzor cistern, Tsaghkadzor, Lake Sevan, Mother See of Holly Echmiadzin Cathedral, Ashtarak, Saghmosavank and Moughni, the Garni and Geghard as well as a tour in Yerevan –namely the Matenadaran, the Sergey Parajanov house-museum, and the Pedagogical University where, as well as in all other places, the security of the Ukrainian guests was ensured by the ASPU security staff.
 
Moreover, the foreign guests were particularly impressed by the supper arranged on the bank of River Marmarik which put the start of friendship between the Armenian and the Ukrainian students.
In addition, debate-discussions, intellectual and sport games enriched the students’ daily life and made it unforgettable.
 
And last but not least, under the initiative of the ASPU council, folk-patriotic dance classes were also organized for the guests.
