On September 20, the Department of Development and Monitoring of Long-term Programs initiated a workshop with the aim of giving undergraduate and graduate students, as

well as the professorial teaching staff information about the recorded success of leading universities in the light of universities-employers cooperation nexus. A package of training materials developed by the University’s Cooperation Center “University-Employer” within the framework of the Tempus ARARAT project was also presented during the meeting.
Addressing the participants, Ara Yeremyan, Vice-Rector for Personnel and International Cooperation, was glad to announce the startup of the project. He said measures will be taken to enhance effective operations of the Cooperation Center “University-Employer” which will promote the dialogue between the University and labour market and improve educational programs through appropriate mechanisms.
Rita Gevorgyan, Head of the Department of Development and Monitoring of Long-term Programs, referred to the challenges encountered in the educational system, particularly emphasizing students’ performance and participation in the organization's activities. She also presented the experience of partner universities involved in the project.

“In order to increase the efficiency of the University’s activities we need to identify the challenges exiting in the sector, consider their possible solutions and the educational system of the countries that have achieved substantial progress in this direction. Then we should introduce it in our educational system by localizing and complying with the strategy of our country,” she stressed.
Hrayr Ohanyan, a specialist of the Cooperation Center “University-Employer,” presented the structure, aims and objectives of the Centre as well as the main areas of collaboration with partners.
During the meeting, Hakob Tadevosyan and Tereza Azatyan, Deputy Deans for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, Faculty of Education Psychology and Sociology, came up with practical proposals.
Meetings on the sideline of the Tempus ARARAT project will continue in the future.
