Pilgrimage to Oshakan
24.09.2013
Recently, a group of students of Armenian State Pedagogical University visited St Mesrop Mashtots Church and Mausoleum in Oshakan. The visit was initiated by the Student Council

of the Faculty of History and Jurisprudence.

During the visit, the future historians and lawyers got acquainted with the history and architecture of the church and mausoleum: they became convinced that the complex is one of the unique structures in the Armenian architecture due to the layout and position of the bell tower, as well as its structure.

“The history of Motherland lives in people’s hearts as long as they remember about it. It is the duty and responsibility of every and each Armenian to preserve and protect our national values and heritage. A nation is rich as long as it has these values. St Mesrop Mashtots has been and remains the lighthouse of our survival,” ASPU student Irina Margaryan said in conversation with armspu.am.
