The Pedagogical will Prepare Education Managers

The official opening of the postgraduate Department of Education Management which will be dealing with the organization of the educational process was held at the Pedagogical

 University. The activities are implemented within the framework of the TEMPUS MAHATMA project.
 
The fifteen postgraduates who had chosen the specialization of Education Management, were welcomed by the Vice Chancellor of Education Quality and Distant-Learning Mr. Tigran Ayvazyan, the Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs,  Ms. Srbouhi Gevorgyan, as well as by the Head of the Department of Long-term Programmes Development and Monitoring Ms. Rita Gevorgyan, the Head of the Department for Education Improvement and Quality Mr. Mkrtich Avagyan, the Head of the Internship Department Mr. Vahan Sargsyan, the Head of the Research Center Mr. Kamo Vardanyan, and by the Finnish expert from the Oulu University Vessa-Matti Marenius.
 
Mr. Tigran Ayvazyan congratulated the future education managers and expressed his hope for the Department, established within the framework of the MAHATMA project, to educate specialists that would be highly demanded in the labour market. Ms. Srbouhi Gevorgyan added in her turn, “Education as a global management process is conditioned by the person’s individual psychological manifestations, mental state, management abilities, and communication skills. The programme is strongly expected and extremely important; in case of correct professional guiding it will bring the desired result, and the successful operation of a vast number of education establishments will also be conditioned with you”.
 
 What is more, the Vice Chancellor promised to support the organization of the educational process and to overcome the occurred difficulties with the effective feedback.
 
“Wanderings throughout the formation of education history and the development process”; that’s what was promised by the Head of the Department of Education Improvements and Quality Mr. Mkrtich Avagyan, who also added that  they would start with the antique Greece, then transfer to Egypt, Rome and China, they would “travel” everywhere and pick up the most necessary.
 
Besides, Mr. Mkrtich Avagyan also noticed that time was propitious towards the postgraduates; they have been awarded a unique opportunity to participate in an international programme implemented at the Pedagogical University.
 
Furthermore, the head of the Internship Department Mr. Vahan Sargsyan, who is also included into the group of professionals training the education management specialists, strongly hopes that the students made a conscious choice of profession and urges them to be active and pretentious.
 

As for the foreign guest present at the meeting, Vessa-Matti Sarenius too did not hide his interest toward the programme and mentioned that it was new, up-to date and on extreme demand  for the improvements to be implemented in the sphere of education. 
 
The Associate Professor in charge of coordination of the activities of the Department of Education Management Ms. Rita Gevorgyan turned to the first “swallows” of the profession and assured that they had made a correct decision by choosing to continue their education at the Armenian State Pedagogical University.
 
 “You will be studying at a university the activities of which have been aimed at its internationalization, and in this context the role of the future education managers is given great importance to; it is with you that the further improvements of the education sector are conditioned. We are expecting your active involvement in the research activities of the University”.
