The scientific library of the Pedagogical University was established almost at the same time together with the university.
After the complicated path of development and improvement the library became one of the most important circles of the University, serving as a solid literary and informational footing.
Today, the library has around 630 000 items of divers literature that completely satisfies the demand of book supply; moreover, there is particular demand for journals, magazines and periodicals as well as for the literature received from the UN.
In addition, the library, too, did not stay astride the recent development of the University in the recent times; the book stocks were enriched with a large amount of literature having a great demand for the courses and research activities; besides, the library activities apply methods in compliance with the international standards.
Let us also mention that Armenia has been celebrating the Librarian’s Day since 2004.
