Today, the Pedagogical University welcomed the Armenian-American philologist, publisher, renowned literary critic from the Diaspora Mr. Hovsep Nalbandyan.

During his meeting with the students of the Faculty of History and Law the writer spoke about his authored book “The Greatest Mesrop Mashtots”, after which he discussed the dissemination of the given book in different corners of the world, the problems of its selling and publication.
The public speaker also spoke about the educational problems in the Diaspora, and the reducing number of Armenian schools in different Armenian communities.
“The problems of preservation of the Armenian language is becoming more apparent day by day; the greatest of the national issues is the development of the language and thinking”, Hovsep Nalbandyan mentioned.
“No language, no influence” – ensured the famous Armenian-American literary critic during his meeting with the students and urged everybody present to read more especially in Armenian.
In addition, the national-public figure also referred to the huge problems that the Armenian communities are facing in the current period of globalization including a number of issues in regards with the immigration and migration.
To conclude, at the end of the meeting Mr. Hovsep Nalbandyan presented his book “The Greatest Mesrop Mashtots” to the Pedagogical University Humanitarian Library Reading Hall. This book which consists of 680 pages is dedicated to the 1650th anniversary of Mesrop Mashtots; the book includes the Patmahor-numerous poems about the Armenian language, together with the proverbs and sayings.
