A few days ago the students of the Faculty of History and Law visited the Armenian Genocide Museum to participate at the lecture-seminar.

At the museum the students got familiarized with the material telling about the state and the status of Armenians living at the Ottoman Empire, the Armenian-Turkish relationship, the Armenian settlements, as well as their cultural life before the genocide.
Memories and photos of the Armenians who hardly escaped from the genocide, notes of foreign scientists and advocates about the Armenian genocide; the future historians thoroughly got acquainted with the motives and reasons of the genocide.
The visitors were introduced with the settlements where the massacres of Armenians took place; besides, the arranged self –defense battles of the Armenians were also discussed during the visit.
In addition, the students watched the documental movie shot by the Americans in 1918 telling about the Armenian Genocide.
In the third section of the Museum the students were introduced with the consequences of the Genocide, the losses and the countries where the Armenians that survived the massacre found their shelters; their current state was also discussed.
“The aim of this annual visit is to give a more detailed presentation to the upcoming generation, the future historians-lawyers in this particular case about the Armenian Question, because at the end of the day they are going to foster the acknowledgement and the conviction of the Armenian Question- the Genocide. In this respect particular importance is granted to the positioning of different international institutions and the ways of solving the Question particularly from the legal point of view,” the President of the Student Council of the Faculty of History and Law Mr. Tigran Khachatryan mentioned during his interview with the armspu.am .
Furthermore, the students paid a visit to the Tsitsernakaberd Monument and laid flowers in memory of the innocent victims.
