“Panos, Huri and Others” Staged in Lori

Four-year students of the Division of Mass Celebrations Department led by Curator Samvel Milaelyan recently visited Dsegh, a village in Lori Marz (Province), best known as the birthplace of prominent Armenian writer Hovhannes Tumanyan. The visit was arranged within the framework of “Tumanyan Days” celebrations. 

 
 
The students first visited Tumanyan’s House Museum in Dsegh where they recited a number of poems dedicated to the outstanding writer and performed dances and songs.
In the yard of the House Museum, the ASPU students staged the performance “Panos, Huri and Others” based on Tumanyan’s tales. 
 
The performance was warmly welcomed by the audience; the head of the community, Marzpet (local governor), representatives of the House Museum and school thanked the ASPU
delegates for the good performance. 
 
The ASPU students were accompanied by poetess, People's Master Anahit Danielyan, Head of the Department of Bioethics at Yerevan State medical University, a UNESCO expert in the region Susanna Davtyan, Head of the Lori regional agency of the National Institute of Education, a lecturer of Vanadzor Pedagogical Institute, Gnel Tigranyan, and senior representative of the Culture and Sports Department at the Lori Regional Administration Mher Melikyan.
