Askanaz Nahapetyan’s “Corner” Opens at ASPU Museum

Armenian State Pedagogical University today hosted the widow of Askanaz Nahapetyan, Founding Head of the Chair for Culture and Enlightment that operated within the Faculty of

 Culture.

Sonya Yedigaryan walked around the University’s three-dimensional museum, got acquainted with its structure, plentiful scientific and educational materials and expressed her admiration for everything she had seen there.

On behalf of ASPU Rector Rouben Mirzakhanyan, the Director of the Museum, Ms. Alvard Grigoryan, handed Sonya Yedigaryan a letter of appreciation for replenishing the Museum collection with valuable materials.

“I am very happy and excited; Askanaz Nahapetyan has finally found his ‘place’ in an establishment where he spent most of his years. The video presentation about him seems to have turned back the time for a moment,” said Sonya Yedigaryan.

She donated the University Museum booklets and records telling about her husband’s life and activity, his certificates and medals, his books inscribed by famous people and even his personal belongings.

Strict, disciplined and dedicated educator Askanaz Nahapetyan taught numerous students who today work in different cultural institutions.

Askanaz Nahapetyan was Associate Professor at the Chair of Photographic Mastery and was awarded the title of Honored Worker of Culture.
