KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

Students of the Faculties of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics, History and Jurisprudence, Educational Psychology and Sociology recently visited Avetik Isahakyan Library to

 participate at the seminar “Everything about Flex” which was held at the American Corner Yerevan (ACY) of the Library. 

 

Arman Vardanyan, who studied in the USA for a year under the FLEX (Future Leaders Exchange) program administered by the American Councils, delivered a report. 

The seminar was held in English, with the reporter giving detailed information about the program, its features and application procedure.  

 

 The seminar was followed by discussion, with an “English Only” rule for chat. The discussion conducted by Artur Ghazatyan, a lecturer of the Chair of English Language Teaching, ASPU, provided the students with the opportunity to listen to fluent, native-level English speakers and communicate with each other in English. 

 

The Chair of English Language Teaching frequently organizes free training courses, consultations, seminars, film reviews and discussions and visits to Yerevan museums which are usually held after lessons.
