Participation in the “Navasardian Games”

From 15 to 16 November, the “Navasardian Games” Folk and Decorative –Applied Arts nominations started at the “Octet” Musical School after Azat Shishyan in Gyumry; the

 nominations had 16 participants.
 
The jury consisted of the Assistant of the ASPU Department of Design and Decorative-Applied Arts Ms. Lilit Meliqyan and the Lecturer Tigran Davtyan; the Head of the same Department, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Anush Yeghiazaryan was the President of the jury.
 
The latter observed that the participants were the first representatives of the nominations, and this was already a huge responsibility.
 
 The works were evaluated in accordance with the suggested topic, the traditional style conservation and creativity, and the winner was selected based on the results of the first stage.  
 

The gold medal of the Folk and Decorative-Applied Arts Nominations was awarded to the third year undergraduate student of the ASPU Department of Applied Art Ms. Mariam Sahakyan /tapestry/; the silver medal went to freshman of the same Department Ms. Arpi Shahverdyan /beadwork/, and the bronze medal was given to the MA graduate Ani Poghosyan /batik/.
 
In addition, the participants Rouzanna Petrosyan, Mariam Avetisyan, Tatevik Mouradyan, and Davit Safaryan were granted certificates.
 
The President of the Jury Anoush Yeghiazaryan expressed her special acknowledgements to the RA Ministry of Culture and the organizers for undertaking such an initiative.
 
The “Navasardian Games” aimed at spreading the role of arts through the creative abilities of teenagers and young people and thereby to raise the meaning and importance of arts among the wide circles of public, as well as to discover and support talented teenagers and young people.
