A few days ago, the the Faculty of Biology, Chemistry and Geometry held the Olympiad organized for the 1st to 4th year students of the Department of Biology.
“Olympiads, are the types of competitions that examine the knowledge of participants”, mentioned the Dean of the Faculty of Biology and Chemistry Ms. Svetlana Hovakimyan and especially welcomed the participation of the freshmen that had the courage to undertake one of the most important steps of demonstrating their knowledge and developing the profession.
In his turn, the organizer of the Olympiad, the Head of the Department of Biology and its Teaching Methods Mr. Tigran Tangamyan wished a good luck to the students saying, “Students should be inquisitive, undergo a variety of exams and tests, the most important of which is the Olympic experience, indeed; it examines professional knowledge and prepares for far more serious competitions”.
The Olympiad was held in written form, and after summarizing the results it became clear that the third place was equally held by the freshman and the sophomore of the Department of Biology Zemfira and Nare Melqonyans; on the second place was the sophomore of the same Department Gayanei Amirkhanyan, and the fourth year student Gohar Mamoyan won the first place.
The winners of the Olympiad were awarded with books provided by the Trade Union, and the winner of the first place Ms. Gohar Mamoyan was granted a diploma.
