The Chair of Philosophy and Logic in collaboration with the Debate Club of the Student Scientific Society (SSS) organized a training lecture entitled “The Fundamentals of Debate”

within the framework of events marking World Philosophy Day. The lecture was conducted by Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, Lecturer of the Chair of Philosophy and Logic, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences, Associate Professor.
The training was comprised of two phases; in the first part, Mr Hovhannisyan delivered a lecture citing numerous examples, guidelines and rules for holding debates. This was followed by an interactive discussion and identification of various situations in the second session.
The lecture was attended by representatives of the professorial team and students from the ten faculties of the University.
Hasmik Hovhannisyan, Head of the Chair of Philosophy and Logic, expressed her profound satisfaction with the lecture, saying that the training was full of interesting information and she learnt many new things during the lecture.
