Intellectual week at ASPU
28.11.2013
“They say people should be sufficed with whatsoever they have, but when we speak about intellect, its perception and continuous improvement, we understand that it is never

enough.” Guided by this motto, the Intellectual Committee of Armenian State Pedagogical University regularly organizes a series of intellectual activities.

The intellectual game competitions organized in the previous weeks of the current semester resembled a real parade.

The start of the events was announced on November 20, with a game competition organized by the ASPU Intellectual Committee in collaboration with the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics. Participating in the competition were the teams “Zartonk” (Awakening), “Tramabanner,” “Gitunikner” (Connoisseurs) “Mtatsoghner” (Thinkers) and “Van.”

The teams “Zartonk,” “Tramabanner” and “Mtatsoghner” performed well in the first round and reached the second round.

In the long run, the team of the ASPU Basic (High School) College -“Mtatsoghner” - was named the winner and received a Letter of Appreciation.

Another intellectual game competition was held on November 22 at the initiative of the Intellectual Committee of the Faculty of Biology, Chemistry and Geography.

The participating teams represented the Faculties of Biology, Chemistry and Geography, History and Jurisprudence, Art Education, Philology, Educational Psychology and Sociology and Culture.

The game consisted of two rounds; in the first part the team “Freshmen,” which was comprised of students from different faculties of the University, became winner of the intellectual game «Ð§Ñ‚о? Где? Когда?»  (What? Where? When?)

Ashot Mkrtchyan, an undergraduate student of the Faculty of Biology, Chemistry and Geography, became winner in the second part of the game called «Ð¡Ð²Ð¾Ñ Игра» (Your Game).

The next contest, an inter-faculty friendly intellectual game featuring six teams, was held on November 26. The game was unique in the sense that each of the teams had chosen their favorite, bright and spectacular fall colour. The team of the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics was in red, that of the Faculty of Culture - in orange. The Faculty of Philology chose blue colour while the Faculty of Educational Psychology and Sociology – pink. The Faculties of Art Education and Biology, Chemistry and Geography were in green and yellow respectively.

The game was held in two rounds, each consisting of 15 questions. The competition was held in a tense atmosphere. The team of the Faculty of Culture took first place thanks to its brilliant performance.

November 27 was also a busy day at the ASPU as several faculties were competing in an attempt to test the flexibility of their mind and ability to concentrate quickly.

An intense intellectual competition was held among the freshmen of the Faculties of Special Education and Foreign Languages. The game aimed to involve the freshmen in the intellectual life of the University.

Another intellectual game competition was held on the same day between the teams the Faculty of History and Jurisprudence, namely “Aramazd,” “Areg,” “Legal,” “Fantasy,” “Victoria,” “Nemesis,” and “Femida.” “Aramazd” became winner in the result of the heated competition.

“The organization and conduct of similar intellectual games in all faculties and abundance of events already speaks of a significant success. The Intellectual Committee of the ASPU Student Council promises to make intellectual competitions continuous at the University,” Head of the Committee Lilit Vahanyan said in conversation with armspu.am.
