New Quality Pedagogues for Schools
06.12.2013
Hand-made alphabets, illustrated books with puzzles, wordbooks, cards, posters and other didactic materials –all in one exhibition organized by the fourth year students of the

Faculty of Primary Education, Department of Pedagogy and Methodology (Elementary Education) under the supervision of Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Julietta Hyulamiryan.

For two and a half years, within the framework of “Elementary Teaching Methods of Armenian Language” the students have been creating special tools foreseen not only for the elementary stage of alphabetic literacy, but also for teaching lexicology and grammar at the secondary school.

During the exhibition, the students displayed the application form of each didactic material, aims and necessity.

In his turn, the Head of the Department of Armenian Language and its Teaching Methods after Ashot Ter-Griqoryan Mr. Ashot Galstyan highly praised the initiative of Julietta Gyulamiryan and the students’ efforts and mentioned: “Looking at the works, I can surely state that you are true to the oath you gave four years ago, you have gained an immense amount of knowledge and put the wide range of rich colour-shades passed from the lecturers in your works”.

In addition Ashot Galstyan observed that all works, prepared with great methodological skills allow us to think that the students are ready to take up the role of a teacher and to conduct the lesson of kindness, honesty and generosity – the native language lesson.

Moreover, the Dean of the Faculty of Primary education Ms. Heghinei Khachatryan expressed her gratification on the work done, and referring to the students as future colleagues, urged not to enter the school unready.

Additionally, at the end of the event Julietta Gyulamiryan once again emphasized the preparation of didactic materials especially in the years of studies highlighting that their implementation contributes to the students’ development as true pedagogues and the hand-made making gives a conscious education.

“I consider that the result of the subject is not the knowledge, but rather the strong belief, and the teaching methodology itself that is already the subject of belief. Each and every subject must be studied not to learn the theory, but to make the personal individuality equal to the profession instead,” mentioned Professor Gyulamiryan and added that the high quality works of students stand for their devotion and commitment towards the profession.

At the end of the exhibition the best students were awarded books and diplomas in the “Best Methodological Accomplishment”, “Wonderful Idea”, and “Original Work” as well as in other nominations; besides, the students outstanding for their excellent progress and particular activity received nominal gifts from Julietta Gyulamiryan.
