The Chair of Foreign Literature of Armenian State Pedagogical University has launched a series of events to mark the 210th anniversary of the great Russian poet and diplomat

During the literary soirée organized on December 9, the future Russian philologists referred [through a poster presentation] to the life and creative activity of the writer and read out his love works full of dramatic and deep feelings.
They stressed that Tyutchev’s poetry is noted for its unique characters and themes, and love is viewed as a fatal passion that brings with it both happiness and misery.
The participants of the literary soirée also referred to his love affair with Amalie von Lerchenfeld and marriage to Eleonore Peterson and the poems he wrote inspired by the feelings for these women.
The event was attended by representatives of the Armenian Office of “Rossotrudnichestvo.” Natalia Yeryomenko, the Deputy Chief of the Company, thanked the organizers of the literary soirée and donated to the Chair Russian-language books.
