11.12.2013
The Pedagogical University is holding the final third day of the workshop of the TEMPUS “MA Courses for Higher Education Managers; training leaders for education transformation

 management” project.

The foreign partners of the project organized a variety of games for the MA students of the Department of Education Management; the aim was to create a common environment therewith giving a chance to develop a number of features of pedagogues including the communication and leadership skills.

On this occasion, the representative of the Middlesex University Mr. John Dafulas assured that the games that seemed simple from the first sight in fact helped students to manage complicated processes; the future pedagogues would be able to correctly organize and to respond to educational processes and to manage their time thanks to the tricks and tools applied in the game.

Besides, speaking about the outcomes, Mr. John Dafulas observed that the ASPU professional working group became possible to avoid a number of problems; while the meeting with the students stated that there would be no lack of highly professional personnel in the higher education sector.

“Please, share your formula of success with other universities, too; only by pursuing them it will be possible to record progress,” the representative of the Middlesex University urged.

In addition, the representative of the European Center of Studies and Initiatives of Italy Ms. Luiza Ardizonei noticed that within the framework of the TEMPUS project the team-works were particularly effective and that they also gave some information about the activities of other universities. In fact, during her three-day work Ms. Luiza Ardizonei most of all emphasized the meeting with the students.

In the second part of the meeting with the foreign specialists the postgraduates of “Education Management” made a PowerPoint Presentation of the educational process and made a number of suggestions.

More to the point the students expressed their desire for the same courses held at the cooperating universities be available for everybody via video connection, as well as to organize a symposium for the postgraduate students, and for the exchange programmes to operate both abroad and within the country.

To sum up, at the end of the meeting the Vice Chancellor of Education Quality and Distant Learning Mr. Tigran Ayvazyan emphasized the importance of communication and collaboration with the education professionals, and the Head of the Department for Programme Development and Monitoring Ms. Rita Gevorgyan in her turn expressed hope that the project will help the students to integrate into the environment that will improve their future progress.
