19.12.2013
А demonstration lesson was conducted on Thursday at the Faculty of Biology, Chemistry and Geography with the aim of summarizing the MA course in “Pedagogical

 Communication."

Following the instructions of Izabella Babayan, Associate Professor of the Chair of Professional Education and Applied Pedagogy, the students showed the importance of the course on their own examples, its aim and objectives, and emphasized the use of communication culture in the teaching process.

Using different methods, including poster presentations, debate, traditional and interactive methods the participants proved that true and accurate wording is the basis of each profession.

The future educators also shared their opinions on the regulations for the conduct of examinations. Some of them expressed their disapproval of written examinations in certain subjects, while others said written exams exclude lecturers’ impartiality and biased attitude.

Svetlana Hovakimyan, Dean of the Faculty of Biology, Chemistry and Geography, noted that during the lesson the graduate students fully demonstrated their teamwork and collaboration skills which would benefit them in their future professional activities.

Izabella Babayan added in turn, “Armenian State Pedagogical University prepares future educators who must acquire at the University the skills and abilities which will allow them to transfer their knowledge to schoolchildren. Therefore, students often suggest introducing a course of developing oral presentation skills in all faculties.”

“Properly chosen words can kill people, break a stone and save the world. In the 21st century, a teacher should not only be well-educated and speak correctly, but must also be able to teach his/her pupils the correct ways of verbal communication,” said Aida Topuzyan, Acting Head of the Chair of Professional Education and Applied Pedagogy. She advised students not to avoid using the three words that will save the world - “Sorry,” “Please,” “I Love You.”
