A series of events, including discussions and open lessons, are being organized at Armenian State Pedagogical University on the threshold of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in an attempt to once again remember the historical reality and condemn the 1915 horrible atrocities against Armenians.

On the initiative of Anahit Lalabekyan, Head of the Chair of English Language Teaching, and Arthur Ghazaryan, a lecturer of the same Chair, first- and second-year students of the Faculty of History and Jurisprudence presented [in the English language] the historical current migration rates in the country.
First in their reports and then through questions the students revealed the causes of emigration, involving in the discussion also the guests, students and lecturers.
The students’ active participation in the event proved the efficiency of foreign-language discussions which not only boost students’ awareness but also provide them with an opportunity of communicating with each other in the target language.
