“Armenoids”- Winners of the Intellectual Competition

We are happy to announce that the Students’ Council of the Pedagogical University organized an inter-faculty intellectual game-competition within the framework of events


 arranged on the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the University.
 
The following four teams out of the competing eleven got to the final: team “Urartu” from the Faculty of History and Law, team “Tatev” from the Physical-Technological Faculty, team “Armenoids” from the Faculty of Education Psychology and Sociology, and team “Aghtamar” from the Faculty of Primary Education. 
 
Lilit Vahanyan, the Head of the Intellectual Committee of the Students Council, conducted the game. The questions for the game were chosen from the fields of Literature, History, Arts, and other spheres. 
 
The answers of the teams were assessed by the five members of the jury- Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor, Frunzey Mayilyan, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, Hakob Tadevosyan, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, Lucine Poghosyan, the Dean of the Physical-Technological Faculty, Doctor of Physical-Mathematical Sciences, Gagik Demirkhanyan, and the President of the Students Council, Volodya Gasparyan.
 
Upon the end of the competition, while outlining the importance of the teams’ participation, the Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor Frunzey Mayilyan said, “I am glad to see students with such a high level of intellect at our University. Such competitions will also inspire you for the further enhancement of your knowledge.”
 

In addition, the Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Hakob Tadevosyan remarked that that kind of events greatly stimulate the thinking development, vocabulary enrichment, and improve the culture of team-work. 
 
Further on, after summing up the results, the winner team was announced. 
 
So, the fourth place went to the team “Tatev” from the Physical-Technological Faculty; the third place went to the team “Aghtamar” from the Faculty of Primary Education, and the second place went to the team “Urartu” from the Faculty of History and Law. 
 
And finally, with the majority of points the first place went to the team “Armenoids” from the Faculty of Education Psychology and Sociology.  
 
To end with, a member from the winner-team, 1st year MA student Lilit Hakobyan was immensely glad for her team’s victory and added the following;
“In order to answer the questions, one needed to be generally intelligent. Besides, it would be highly desirable for each of us to know the answers to at least a part of the questions mentioned”.
 
At the end of the game-competition the participants received diplomas.
