At the head of Susanna Sisyan, Associate Professor at the Chair of Professional Education and Applied Pedagogy, the students organized a seminar discussion on “Comparative Analysis of Education Systems in Foreign Countries and in Armenia.”
The interactive lesson was comprised of two phases - initial presentation of the theoretical part of the thematic material and discussion.
With the help of video presentations, the students “took” the attendees to Germany, France, Great Britain, USA, Japan, Italy and India, introduced the education systems of these countries, dwelt on their structural and contextual features, drew parallels between the education systems of the aforesaid countries and that of Armenia and made interesting and remarkable conclusions.

During the discussion, the participants turned into delegates from different countries and handed out to the presentees handmade cards portraying the distinguishing features of the educational system of the given country.
The second part of the lesson was accompanied by a heated debate over positive attributes of education systems in foreign countries, need for the implementation of main objectives and provisions of the Bologna Process, national traditions of higher education systems in Europe, privileges granted to students in Italy and other issues.
The discussion heated up when the participants began to speak about free higher education existing in all developed countries and partly applied in Armenia.
At the end of the discussion, the students unanimously said that the lesson was meaningful, purposeful and spectacular.
