Today, the RA Minister of Science and Education Armen Ashotyan introduced the national ranking system of the country’s Higher Educational Institutions to the representatives of different universities and mass media.
The top three in the ranking correspondingly were the Yerevan State University, the Armenian State Pedagogical University after Khachatur Abovyan, and the Armenian State Architectural.
Highlighting the importance of creation of the system, the Minister mentions that the aim of creating such a system is to increase the competition among the universities and to raise their accountability, together with the education quality and the public awareness about the education process efficiency, as well as to expand the opportunity for the stakeholders of the education sector to receive open and transparent information.
