members of the delegation was also Ruben Mirzakhanyan, Rector of Armenian State Pedagogical University after Khachatur Abovyan.
On the sidelines of the visit, the Armenian delegates held a number of meetings and visited Ilia State University where ASPU Rector Ruben Mirzakhanyan and Zurab Javakhishvili, head of the staff of the Georgian University, signed a cooperation agreement between the two universities.
The agreement provides the opportunity for a faculty and student exchange, implementation of joint educational programmes and organization of joint conferences.
As part of the agreement, Ruben Mirzakhanyan made the first practical step by offering to involve students of Ilia State University in the summer school exchange programmes organized by the ASPU.
