Excellent Academic Progress Encouraged by Winter Holidays

Active leisure, full rest and cheerful mood- this is how the Pedagogical University students from all Faculties having excellent academic progress, together with 70 students from

 the University’s female football team have been spending their winter holidays in Aghavnadzor training facilities since 3 February. 
 
 
Wake-up, morning exercises, breakfast, sporting events, dinner, watching a movie, competitions, supper, discotheque-this is the obligatory schedule of the day which may sometimes be changed due to guests visits. In this regards, the Chancellor of the University Mr. Rouben Mirzakhanyan visited the students to see how they are spending their leisure.   
 
 
During the meeting with the students, the Chancellor inquired about the holiday conditions, discussed the actual problems existing in the learning process, listened to the students’ remarks about reforms in different specializations. Besides, the students made a number of suggestions to the Chancellor about the internship, academic hours of non-professional subjects, the need of providing the necessary scientific support during the practical classes and other issues about the improvement of the learning process.  
 
 
Furthermore, in the course of the meeting the Chancellor also spoke about teaching foreign languages underlining that the knowledge of foreign languages will ensure facilitated access and involvement in numerous international and exchange programmes. 
 
 

“Every detail is taken into consideration to make the students’ daily life more comfortable and active”, the Deputy Head of the Department of Chess and Sports, Lecturer Souren Barseghyan who is managing and coordinating the students rest in Aghavnadzor this year too, mentioned in his interview to the armspu.am . More to the point, Mr. Barseghyan also mentions that the meeting strongly motivates the students and contributes to a more active involvement in educational processes. 
 
 
What is more, the students’ security is safeguarded by the University security Service on daily basis, and the first medical aid is provided by the nurse of the Medical Aid unit at the university, Ms. Zemfira Aslanyan; the University has ensured all the essential medicaments and other supplies both for providing the first medical aid and making a therapeutic intervention. The nurse observes that there are from four to seven visiting students daily, who have mainly upper respiratory tracts issues and other problems due to ventilation. 
 
 
Besides, the students express particular satisfaction with the large variety of fresh food; even the most demanding students have the same opinion that the food is tasty, useful and pleasant.   
 
 
In this regards, the Chef de Cuisine Mr. Hakob Aghadjanyan rushes to expose and to share with his secret of great taste mentioning that each dish is prepared with greatest love

 followed by the concept of a healthy diet corresponding to the time of the day. 
 
 
On this occasion, the students were also looking forward to expressing their opinion. The sophomore of the Faculty of Foreign Languages Ms. Shoushan Baghdasryan is participating in such a gathering for the first time.”I had a concern that the infrequent communication with other faculties would set obstacles for an active rest, but we all became unified in the amicable and warm atmosphere.
 
 
Likewise, the MA student of the Faculty of Art education Nairi Balabeyan, who welcomes the idea of the University of annual undertaking of such an initiative for different students of the University, also arranged this year too. 
 
 
Equally, the University Student Council also had a great role; in fact, its various committees regularly organize a number of intellectual games, competitions and other entertainments events.  
 
 
As the President of the Student Council Nersik Margayan thinks such events evoke positive energy about the students; and this of course contributes to the increase of education level.
