‘Tumanyan Days’ kick off in Armenia

On February 19, Armenia marks the 145th birth anniversary of the master of Armenian literature, “All-Armenian poet” Hovhannes Tumanyan. For many years, Yerevan has been

 honoring the great poet with ‘Tumanyan days’ that are accompanied by numerous festive events. ASPU’s School â„–57 after Vahan Totovents did not stay aside from the events. 
 
 
The pupils of the school today gathered together to once again evaluate and remember the creative heritage of the great writer. 
 
 
School Principal Susanna Khachatryan was proud to say that the educational establishment had scheduled numerous events on the occasion of ‘Tumanyan days.’ She added that pupils participate in the events with great enthusiasm as all of them have read and enjoyed the works of the great writer. 
 
 
The attendees also got acquainted with the list of events scheduled for the ‘anniversary month,’ which include organization of open lessons, debates, intellectual games, visits to the writer's house museum, performance of the writer’s tales and poetry recitation contests. 
 
 
An exhibition of photos and books dedicated to heroes of Tumanyan’s works will be held as part of the events dedicated to the writer’s birth anniversary.
 
 
The events will be summed up with Anoush Opera to be performed at A. Spendiarian Opera and Ballet National Academic Theatre with the support of the Women’s Council.
