KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

Starting from today, the visitors of the Pedagogical University Academic library will be the witnesses of another jubilee exhibition that will last for a whole week; numerous books,

 monographs, and publications from various years have been displayed towards the anniversary of General Andranik.

The most significant part of the exhibition is formed by the original letter sent by the distinguished figure of the ARF party Mr. Khachatour Kochikyan to General Andranik from Tbilisi on 26 February 1916, the poems by Hovahnnes Shiraz dedicated to General Andranik [«ÔµÕ¬Õ¡Õ¾ Ô±Õ¶Õ¤Ö€Õ¡Õ¶Õ«Õ¯...» and «Ô±Õ¶Õ¤Ö€Õ¡Õ¶Õ«Õ¯Õ« Õ½Õ¸Ö‚Ö€Õ¨»], as well as the genuine opinion of the great Armenian painter Martiros Saryan about the General.

The Director of the Library Mr. Tigran Petrosyants considers such exhibitions quite important for young people, especially from the future pedagogues; “Teachers, who will be educating the upcoming generations, must clearly know their national heroes that created history and independence; it is an effective method of upbringing in patriotic spirit”.

Moreover, the Library Director observed that even though it was the first day of the exhibition, there was no lack of visitors.
