Role of future educators in the fight against HIV/AIDS
27.02.2014
The Faculty of History and Jurisprudence in collaboration with the Red Cross Society recently organized a seminar discussion on HIV/AIDS.

During the discussion, the volunteers of the organization presented [in detail] the ways to halt the spread and transmission of the epidemic, its possible prevention and answered students’ questions through a game discussion.

Also, a short film featuring celebrities was shown during the meeting.

“Similar events are not only informative but they also promote a healthy lifestyle,” Armine Serobyan, the organizer of the event, Head of the Committee on Chess, Sports and Healthy Lifestyle of the ASPU Student Council, said in conversation with old.aspu.am.

Tigran Khachatryan, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of History and Jurisprudence, said in his turn that the event was a good opportunity to help the younger generation [with the help of future educators] to fight against the spread of the epidemic from an early age, raise their awareness of HIV and AIDS and prevent their inclusion in risk groups.
